Introduction

Thornbury Holiday Accommodation is a single level bungalow situated within the 1 acre grounds of an electric gated country house.

Pre-Arrival

  • We have a website with pictures of the rooms
  • Bookings can be made from the website via email or by telephone or letter
  • All guests are provided with printed directions to the property. Different size fonts are available upon request.
  • The nearest bus stop is at the end of the drive
  • Tewkesbury Ashchurch train station is approximately 5 miles away
  • This access statement is available on our website and in our welcome folder

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

  • There is private car parking available approximately 5 metres from the front door of the property.
  • There is space for a maximum of 2 cars
  • The parking on a tarmac drive with no kerbs
  • There is plenty of room around the car when parked to access it from all sides
  • From the parked car to the holiday accommodation is smooth tarmac and then slabs. It is lit at night but a torch is also provided
  • There are emergency contact numbers for both my husband and I inside the welcome folder
  • A welcome pack is provided to all guests. This consists of bread, milk, biscuits, 2 small pots of preserve, tea, coffee and a carton of orange juice.

Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area

  • There is a single low step, 6cm, to access the property
  • This opens to the carpeted hall
  • The property owner will meet and greet all guests to issue them with keys and show them round the property
  • The owner lives on site so is available to answer and queries most of the time Public Areas - Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors etc
  • The hall is carpeted, this colour does contrast with the skirting board
  • As this is a bungalow, there are no stairs

  • The carpet is a flecked gold wool
  • To the right and straight ahead is a single tan leather arm chair (dimensions 85cm deep, 105cm wide, 90cm high)
  • a high back 3 seater tan brown leather sofa (dimensions 80cm deep, 200cm wide, 90cm high)
  • a mother and child lamp 
  • a 42 rear projection TV with DVD player
  • Freeview Box (all with remote controls)

  • 4 dining chairs and a rectangle table
  • a sliding door that leads to a fully fitted kitchen
  • External fully glazed door (20cm step down)

Private shower room/wc

  • The shower room is accessible from the main hall
  • The flooring is wooden look laminate from Karndean
  • There is a single step, 28cm) to access the electric shower (Dimensions of shower tray 69 *69cm)
  • There is a built in hand wash basin and toilet
  • There is a four hook on the door

Laundry

  • There are no laundry facilities in the property however a laundry service is operated by the owners.
  • It is free service and includes washing and drying but no ironing
  • We have no tumble dryer so all clothes are air dried 

Leisure Facilities

  • There is heated indoor swimming pool
  • The pool is accessed via the stepped roman end 
  • There is a walking level around the whole of the pool, to enable nervous swimmers the chance to enjoy the water without getting out of their depth
  • There is a changing room that has an electric hair dryer within it
  • There is an electric shower within the pool area. This is accessed via a step up
  • There is a toilet and hand basin within the pool area

Outdoor Facilities

  • The holiday property is surrounded by a paved area
  • The drive has a slope to it, but it is not steep
  • There are a number of floor level lights in the pation outside the entrance to the property and also street style lighting up the drive (3)
  • There is an outside toilet but there are no hand washing facilities at this location.

Bedrooms & Sleeping Areas

  • Both bedrooms are accessed from the hall 
  • Bedroom 1 has a King Size memory foam matress. This bed is accessible from both sides
  • Bedroom 2 has two single beds. Both beds are only accessible from one side only Self-Catering Kitchen
  • The kitchen is accessed from the living room via a sliding wooden door
  • The taps are mixer with cross heads
  • The work surface is a wood look laminate, set 92cm from floor level
  • The sink is a single bowl linen finish, set 92cm from floor level
  • There is a ceramic hob with push button controls, set 92cm from floor level
  • There is a microwave available on the worktop, set 92cm from floor level
  • The oven is single electric oven, at eye level i.e. you do not have to bend down to use it, set 88cm from floor level
  • The floor is vinyl
  • The lighting is a directional 3 light centre light
  • The fridge and freezer are built under the work tops

Additional Information

  • Thornbury Holiday Accommodation is non smoking
  • Dogs are welcome, but an additonal charge is payable
  • Owners live on site so are often available to provide information and assistance
